New Zealand’s premier wine producing region of Marlborough is located in the north of the South Island and surrounds the populous township of Blenheim. Internationally renown for its iconic Sauvignon Blanc grown in the Wairau and Awatere Valleys, Marlborough is defined by its unique geography.

Guarded from prevailing weather by mountain ranges, the patchwork soils deposited across the valley by glaciers range from clay in the south to sand and pea gravel in the coastal Wairau plain. This soil diversity, coupled with moderating cool sea winds from the east and a staggering 2,409 average hours of sunshine and only 655mm of rain per year, create ideal conditions for premium grape and wine production. Sauvignon Blanc dominates the region with over 76% of vineyard plantings, followed by Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Riesling, Gewürztraminer and Viognier.

Indevin’s Marlborough winery is situated at Riverlands, nestled in the foothills of the Wither Hills and overlooking Cloudy Bay. We have a total production capacity of 27 million litres of wine including more than 33,000 tonnes of white grapes and 2,000 tonnes of red grapes. Varieties processed onsite include Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc, Riesling and Gewürztraminer.
