Introduced to wine by his parents at consumer wine fairs in his native France, Aurelien studied Viticulture and Oenology in Bordeaux, before starting his career in the Rhone Valley. After working on the 2010 vintage at Indevin Marlborough, Aurelien spent the next three years travelling between France and New Zealand before settling in Blenheim in late 2013. Now a production manager in Gisborne, he’s loving the lifestyle in his new country.
“Making wine is like writing a book, it can come in a lot of different styles. You can write a novel, a poem, a booklet or a tome. It’s up to the author to find the right public,to propose something new or respond to a demand. But the good thing is the story almost always concludes with a happy ending!”
